Matariz Beach is located at the North part of Ilha Grande. From Angra dos Reis’ downtown (the closest continental part), one takes about an hour by boat. Pousada Recanto dos Limas picks up their guests at Angra dos Reis’ touristic marina and takes them to the Matariz Beach, where the Inn is located.

FROM SÃO PAULO:
- by car
Through Caraguatatuba: take Dutra highway until São José dos Campos. From there, take the Tamoios highway until Caraguatatuba. Follow the instructions for getting to Ubatuba, going along BR-101 and heading to Rio de Janeiro. You’ll pass through Ubatuba, Paraty and finally Angra dos Reis.
Through Barra Mansa: take Dutra highway until Km 272 and then take the entrance to the city of Barra Mansa. Go along Getulândia road, you’ll pass trough the cities of Rio Claro and Lídice. Finally you will reach BR-101, already in Angra dos Reis. Avoid this route during the night since the road is very precarious and offers little security and assistance for drivers.

FROM RIO DE JANEIRO:

Take Brasil Avenue until it ends and around Santa Cruz district you will get to the beginning of Rio-Santos (BR-101), right after the military Police Station. Go along Rio-Santos until Angra dos Reis.

FROM BELO HORIZONTE:

Take BR-040. You’ll pass through Três Rios town (RJ), and then take BR-393 until Barra Mansa (RJ). You’ll get to Getulândia. Go through Rio Claro and Lídice towns. Few minutes later you’ll find the exit to BR-101 (Rio-Santos).
