We organize schooner trips, boat trip, diving and fishing.
You can rent the schooner to explore the sea of Ilha Grande and the local sightseeing.
The Ilha Grande is one of the best dive route in Brazil, clear waters with a pleasant temperature makes diving possible all year-round. The island is home to an enormous variety of marine species, where one can contemplate beautiful landscapes and the most beautiful Brazilian fish.
On the island you can choose the type of diving you want to enjoy, in addition to the natural beauties, some ship wrecks and a helicopter, snorkeling is also widely used, mainly in Lagoa Azul and Lagoa Verde where you can swim with a school of fish at your side in a clear, clear and transparent water.
COMPLETE DIVING STRUCTURE
The Pousada Recanto dos Lima has all the structure to attend dive schools and autonomous certified divers. We have 3 compressors, 80 cylinders S 80. General equipment for diving. We have boats adapted for the practice of this sport and material to attend schools that bring their students to know marine life, we have masks and fins for underwater studies.
We have partnerships with schools of diving and marine biology teaching, where we provide complete structure for lodging, diving, leisure and space for theoretical practices.
Trails & Kayaks
Near the hostel:
Walk to beach of Jacenema and beach of Passaterra: low intensity, 20 minutes-1/2 hour. Featuring the famous Figueira Branca (White fig tree)!
Walk to Bananal Pequeno beach and Bananal beach: average intensity, 20 minutes-1/2 hour (Bananal Pequeno is ideal for those who like empty beach without anyone).
To the East:
Walk to the Bananal Peak: high intensity, a hill, 1 and 1/2 hour from the beach of Bananal Pequeno. Need guide.
Walk to Freguesia de Santana (1 hour and 30 minutes - more time stopping at the beaches)
Beautiful beaches (Freguesia de Fora, Araca, Grumixama, Whale)
Church of the Divine Holy Spirit
Whale Walk (take the trail at the end of the beach of Freguesia de Santana - two hours)
Walk to Japariz beach (coastal trail, two hours- there are five very busy restaurants at lunch time, we suggest going early after breakfast)
Walk to Vila do Abraão (tourist village of the island): average intensity, six hours from Recanto

We offer daily tours to visit the main points of Ilha Grande and the area of the coast of Angra dos Reis.
P1 - LAGOA VERDE AND THE BEACHES OF SITIO FORTE.
About 40 minutes to the Lagoon. Roundtrip around 4 hours. The boat has refreshments for sale.
Great place for diving with snorkeling, canoeing and scuba diving.
You will find shoals of sargentinho fish that embellish the environment.
Do not forget to bring sunscreen and pocket money for a snack along the ride.
P2 - LAGOA AZUL AND THE BEACHES OF FREGUESIA DE SANTANA.
About 20 minutes to the Lagoon. Roundtrip around 4 hours. The boat has refreshments for sale.
This spot is THE point on Ilha Grande for boaters and schooners, great for diving, with beautiful landscape both on land and underwater. Where you can see several schools of fish and other marine lives.
P3 - FEITICEIRA BEACH AND ENSEADA DAS ESTRELAS
About 1 hour to the Beach. Roundtrip around 5 hours.
Great beach for a sea bath and the practice of snorkeling, with a nearby waterfall to refresh and to purify yourself. 2 km walk up hill to access the waterfall. Afterwards you can do a city tour through the cove of Saco do Céu admiring lush landscape.
P4 - ENSEADA OF ARAÇATIBA AND MARINE FARM
About 1 hour to the farm, roundtrip around 4:30 hours. The boat has refreshments for sale.
A place rich in marine life, with scuba diving for certified divers and very beautiful snorkeling for everybody else. After the visit we’ll have a pit stop at Praia Grande de Araçatiba for a snack.
To the West:
Walk to Sitio Forte
On this trail, which runs along the coast of Ilha Grande facing Angra dos Reis, you find beautiful beaches with calm waters and a mangrove

Walk to Lagoa Verde:
This trail is not well marked and although easy, is tiresome. Its main attraction is the Longa beach, which offers a refreshing waterfall and friendly locals. From an extra-official trail we can reach the Lagoa Verde (Green Lagoon)
Distance: 6.000m - 6.200m
Time: 5 - 5:30 a.m.
Maximum altitude: 150m

On long trail and kayak tours, we recommend bringing enough water, a protector, a hat, a lantern, a cell phone, a hostel number and money (if you need to rent a boat, eat or drink something, etc).
P5 - VILA DO ABRAÃO
1:10 min to Abraão, roundtrip around 6:00 hours. The boat has refreshments for sale.
Abraão Village is known as the capital of the Island, with approximately 4000 inhabitants; in the high season this number triples. Good place to buy handicrafts and choose among several restaurants. We can visit Lazareto, Praia Preta and Praia da Júlia.
P6 - PRAIA DE LOPES MENDES
1:40 minutes to Palmas plus another 20 minutes walk to get in Lopes Mendes and roundtrip around 6:00 hour.
Considered one of the most beautiful beach in Brazil, it is great for surfing. Wild beach without any infrastructure, only a few peddlers sell drinks and snacks.
P7- ISLAND OF THE GIPÓIA, BEACH OF THE ARROWS AND ISLAND OF BOTINAS
50 minutes to the beach of the arrows and roundtrip of 4 hours approx. The boat has refreshments for sale.
Location with seafood restaurants facing the sea and afterwards, the possibility to enter a fairytale environment in the Island of Botinas where you will swim along with Sargentinhos the small, typical local fish.
P8- ISLAND OF CATAGUASES
Island of Cataguases around 40 minutes and 4 hours roundtrip. The boat has refreshments for sale.
A place with crystal clear waters, calm sea, great for children and elderly, ideal also for those who like to swim and snorkeling, you'll find on the island snacks and cold drinks. When landing, take your belongings, since the boat will be anchored far from the beach.
